Did you Know?

1) All existing medical conditions must be disclosed and accepted by insurance underwriters.

2) If you are taken ill whilst abroad, the Medical Emergency Service will contact your doctor to check your medical conditions before confirming payment for hospital treatment or repatriation.

3) If you have to pay for an Air Ambulance you will need a minimum of £8,000 to get you home from Spain.

4) Your E111 certificate does not cover cancellation of your holiday or the cost of getting you home.

5) If you have a non travelling sick relative, you may not be covered if you have to cancel or cut short your holiday due to their illness.

6) All travelling companions should be covered under one policy. If cover is split due to one person's pre-existing medical condition it will affect the Cancellation cover for the remaining persons.

For a close relative or business associate who is not travelling and whose health may affect the trip

If, at the time of taking out insurance (or booking the trip if this was later) your close
relative or business associate had a medical condition for which he or she:
~ was receiving treatment at hospital
~ was waiting for a hospital consultation or treatment
~ had been given a terminal prognosis, or been told that their condition is likely to get worse in the next 12 months

(Unless agreed by Underwriters, they will not pay for any problem that has anything to do with that condition
